Osaka CityThe Osaka Museum of Living Then and Now is located inside the Osaka Municipal Housing Information Center Building, facing Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street in Tenjinbashi 6-chome, Kita Ward. It is a housing museum where you can experience the changes in Osaka towns and homes from the Edo period through the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods. The biggest highlights are the meticulously researched reconstruction of Osaka's townscape from the late Edo period, around the Tenpo era (1830-1844), and the device that changes the town's appearance with the passage of time, morning, noon, and night, using sound and light. There are also exhibitions that change with the seasons.
