A winery and a yakiniku restaurant, both of which have honed their skills over many years, will come together on the same stage to present their proud pairing of beef and wine. There will also be a special tour of the winery, led by the fourth generation owner of Kawachi Wine, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary since its founding.

This is a collaborative plan that combines the experience of knife-making with the taste of Japanese cuisine in Sakai, a city with a 600-year tradition of cutting edge craftsmanship. First, learn sharpening techniques and other techniques from a craftsman at Wada store Shoten, a long-established Japanese knife maker, and create your very own knife. Next, you will be given a private room at Mochizuki Ichimi-an, a long-established Japanese restaurant, where you will enjoy a lecture on how to use Japanese knives from the head chef and savor some of their specialty dishes. This is a special experience that will allow you to gain a deeper understanding of Japanese knives.

After being guided by a Shinto priest through Konda Hachimangu Shrine, said to be the oldest in Japan, you will receive instruction from Akira Matsuda, a four-time winner of a Japanese sweets competition on a TV program, and experience making your own original Nerikiri Japanese sweets. We hope you will enjoy making colorful, soul-soothing Japanese sweets! You can enjoy infinite variations and beautiful gradations by changing the colors.

Kanan Roadside Station is located along National Route 309, a major regional highway that runs from central Osaka through the southern Osaka region and directly to Nara. The parking area is equipped with a car park, toilets, a rest area and other facilities, providing a place for drivers to relax. In addition, the adjacent direct sales store (Kanan Town Rural Revitalization Center) sells fresh, locally-sourced vegetables picked that morning, as well as processed products made with local ingredients, such as mochi rice cakes, rice flour bread and jam.

Founded in 1718, this famous brewery is known for its "Amano Sake." This super-rich, sweet sake, beloved by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, has been revived in modern times.

At Tenku, a restaurant run directly by the long-established sake brewery Amano Sake, you can relax and enjoy dishes made with fermented foods and seasonings unique to the brewery, as well as carefully selected ingredients from Osaka, in a historic space. Furthermore, at Amano Sake, which was founded in 1718, you can not only observe the traditional sake brewing process up close, but also sample several types of sake accompanied by in-depth commentary from the brewery owner and staff.
