On Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 13:00, at the ATC Ageless Center in Minami-ko, Suminoe-ku, Osaka City,
"Towards a society where everyone can move freely – eliminate barriers and grant everyone 'freedom of travel'!"
We will be holding a travel universal design seminar on the theme of [theme].
Limited to the first 50 applicants; participation is free.
The keynote speeches will include a presentation by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Research Institute (JAXA) Aerospace Technology Directorate on "JAXA's Research and Development Towards Barrier-Free Aircraft," a presentation by the Abilities Association on "Abilities' Rehabilitation Tours Enjoyable for People Using Canes and Wheelchairs," which they have been running for half a century, and a presentation of "Case Studies of Barrier-Free Implementation Nationwide" that Abilities has undertaken.
At the ATC Ageless Center, the venue for the event, you can view and experience various welfare equipment, including the Universal Corner.
Additionally, this time, the foldable, lightweight electric wheelchair Q50R with an aluminum frame will be on display and available for test rides.
