Osaka Museum of Natural History

This museum explores the origins, mechanisms, changes and history of the "nature" that surrounds humans through exhibitions, outreach activities and research.
This facility aims to spread awareness of the natural world. We live in an age where it is important for each of us to have a broad knowledge of the structure and relationships of the natural world.
It has become like this.
This is important not only for the conservation of nature, but also for a better future and a better living environment.

The Natural History Museum has five permanent exhibits that explore these themes, titled "Nature in Our Lives," "The History of the Earth and Life," "The Evolution of Life," "The Blessings of Nature," and "The Lives of Living Things."
We also hope to communicate our knowledge in an easy-to-understand manner from various angles through over 150 events held each year, including special exhibitions, nature observation sessions, lectures, and workshops.

*1: Wheelchair accessible restrooms are located on the 1st floor of the main building and on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Information Center (separate rooms for men and women).
*2: There is a first-aid room that doubles as a nursing room. Please ask a staff member. A baby bed for changing diapers is located in the washroom area in front of the toilets.

*8: The hotel does not have a dedicated parking lot. If you wish to use a parking lot, there are the Minami Parking Lot (nearest) and Nagai Park Underground Parking Lot. For details, please contact Nagai Park Underground Parking Lot (TEL: 06-4700-4580). *Please note that the parking fee for disabled people varies depending on the parking lot used.

Wheelchair users: The Information Center, Botanical Gardens, and Museum can be accessed from Nagai Subway Station and Nagai Park South Parking Lot without stairs or other obstacles.
It is about a 10-15 minute walk from Nagai Station, so please take your time.

・Take city bus route 4 "Suminoe Park to Deto Terminal" and get off at "Nagai Higashi" stop. Walk about 400m north

The elevator opening is 90cm wide, and the basket is 130cm deep and 120cm wide. If you are using a stretcher-type wheelchair, please ask a member of staff nearby and we will direct you to the large elevator in the back yard.
