Rapi:t Limited Express Train
Rapi:t is a limited express train operated by Nankai Electric Railway that runs between Nankai Namba Station and Kansai Airport Station, reaching a top speed of 120 km/h and connecting the two in as little as 29 minutes. The name “Rapi:t” was chosen through a public naming contest and comes from a German word meaning “fast.” Designed with a retro-futuristic concept, its distinctive shape blends power and speed. The oval windows—inspired by aircraft—are another signature design feature. Because of its unusual appearance, it is sometimes nicknamed a “deep-sea submarine” or “Tetsujin 28-go.” Rapi:t consists of six cars and is all-reserved seating and non-smoking. Of its 252 seats, 54 are Super Seats, offering a more spacious and comfortable ride. The Regular Seats also feature an elegant interior designed for a relaxed journey. From JR Shin-Osaka Station to Nankai Namba Station, take the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line to Namba and walk about 2 minutes.
