Follow the footsteps of Sen no Rikyu, the grand master who perfected the Way of Tea. Born in Sakai, he revolutionized tea culture with his wabi-sabi philosophy.

Visit the site of his former residence and explore exhibits at Sakai Risho no Mori. Experience an authentic Seated Tea Ceremony (Ritsurei Chakai). Enjoy Kurumi Mochi, a local specialty.

Then, visit Nanshu-ji Temple, where Rikyu trained. Discover the deep connection between tea, Zen, and Japanese culture.
