My knife made by Sakai Toji craftsmen
Make your own one-of-a-kind kitchen knife
Create your own knife that you can use for a long time with a lecture by a craftsman from Sakai Toji, a company with a 221-year history.
Sakai Toji knives, used by many of the world's most famous chefs, are masterpieces that symbolize Sakai, a city that has cultivated tradition. Why not try making your own Sakai Toji knife, a knife that you will never want to let go of once you have used it and that you can use for a long time?
Basic information
In each of the three courses, you will receive instruction from a craftsman as you learn the knife-making process and even have your name engraved on a commemorative aluminum plate. Once completed, your Sakai Toji knife will be a one-of-a-kind knife for your home or as a gift, and you can take home an aluminum keychain as a memento. The Sakai Toji Cutlery History Museum, located next to Izumi Riki, which was founded in 1815, has a comprehensive exhibit that covers the history of cutlery, the tools used to make them, and the various types of knives that differ depending on their purpose.
