Gunsmith House: The only remaining workshop and residence of a gunsmith from the Edo period in Japan
Travel back in time to Sakai, where gunsmiths once lived
This is a gunsmith's workshop and residence that retains the atmosphere of the Edo period. In addition to exhibiting actual materials such as matchlock guns and ancient documents, the museum also offers the opportunity to learn about the work of a gunsmith.

This is the only remaining workshop and residence of a gunsmith from the Edo period in Japan. Some of the more than 20,000 items handed down through the gunsmith Inoue Sekiemon family are on display, and you can experience the history of iron processing in Sakai through interactive content.
