Sakai City Daisen Park Japanese Garden
A grand scale! An oasis of tranquility and healing
You can enjoy the various expressions of the seasons with all your senses, including the flowers, the flow of water, and the scent of leaves swaying in the breeze, while also enjoying a casual drink like a matcha latte at the tea shop in the garden.
Basic information
堺市大仙公園日本庭園は、平成元年(1989年)の堺市制100周年記念事業として、中根金作氏が設計し、同年３月に開園した「築山林泉廻遊式庭園」です。本庭園は、日本庭園の伝統によって養われた「美」と日本人の心を紹介するとともに、広く堺市民、堺市を訪れる人々が散策の場、憩いの場として利用し、ゆとりや潤いを得ることを目的とする施設となっています。
敷地総面積26,000㎡の庭園では、自然の風景要素を人工の山、滝、水流、池で表現し、その池や流れの周辺を散策しながら風景を楽しむことができます。夏季、秋季、紅葉期には夜間特別開園を実施しています。
