Basic information
Sakai City Daisen Park Japanese Garden is a strolling garden with artificial hills, forests and springs that was designed by Kinsaku Nakane as part of the 100th anniversary of Sakai City's founding in 1989 and opened in March of the same year. The garden is a facility that aims to introduce the beauty nurtured by the traditions of Japanese gardens and the Japanese spirit, and to be used by Sakai residents and visitors to the city as a place to stroll, relax and find relaxation.
The garden, which has a total area of 26,000 m², expresses natural landscape elements with artificial mountains, waterfalls, streams, and ponds, and visitors can enjoy the scenery while strolling around the ponds and streams.The garden is open at night during the summer, autumn, and autumn foliage season.
