Sanno Museum of Art

Osaka CityArtHistory and History / culture

This art museum displays and exhibits the collection that the founder of Hotel Monterey Co., Ltd. has amassed over a period of more than 50 years. The collection of 600 pieces is diverse, including modern Western paintings, Japanese Western paintings, Japanese paintings, ceramics, and sculptures, and each piece is a work of art that can only be seen here. Exhibitions are held twice a year, in spring and autumn, featuring works from the collection based on a theme, including works by artists with ties to the Kansai region, such as Saeki Yuzo, Koiso Ryohei, and Uemura Shōen, as well as representative modern French painters such as Renoir and Foujita Tsuguharu.
