It is said that the temple was founded in the Heian period with a stone Buddha carved by Kukai as its principal image. It was founded in the Edo period by a local monk named Jogon. Jogon was a figure who was so devoted that he was worshipped by the 5th Shogun, Tokugawa Tsunayoshi, and other feudal lords. The temple grounds are home to the "Yubae Maple," a tree said to be 800 years old, whose autumn foliage is spectacular. It is a cultural asset that constitutes the Japan Heritage "Town Where You Can Encounter the Middle Ages," and is home to the Seiryoji-style Shaka Nyorai (Important Cultural Property) and a treasure house built in 1927 that is registered as a national tangible cultural property.

Founded in 1718, this famous brewery is known for its "Amano Sake." This super-rich, sweet sake, beloved by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, has been revived in modern times.

At Tenku, a restaurant run directly by the long-established sake brewery Amano Sake, you can relax and enjoy dishes made with fermented foods and seasonings unique to the brewery, as well as carefully selected ingredients from Osaka, in a historic space. Furthermore, at Amano Sake, which was founded in 1718, you can not only observe the traditional sake brewing process up close, but also sample several types of sake accompanied by in-depth commentary from the brewery owner and staff. Many cedar and cypress plantations, branded as "Osaka Kawachi Wood," are located here, providing a place for environmental conservation and relaxation as a valuable "forest resource." Based on this background, Kinekan was established as a base for learning and interaction, with the aim of organizing foresters and providing instruction aimed at improving their skills, as well as offering woodworking craft experiences and events themed around forests and nature, based on the protection and cultivation of local forest resources and the revitalization of forestry.

Okukawachi Kuromaro no Sato is a base for promoting the charm of Kawachinagano's town, making the most of its natural environment. It houses a direct sales store for fresh, safe, and secure locally grown agricultural products, as well as a restaurant and eat-in workshop where you can try locally grown vegetables and fruits. The visitor center sells souvenirs and rents out bicycles.
