    From the summit, you can see the Osaka Plain and Osaka Bay. In autumn, the area around the summit is covered with golden ears of Japanese pampas grass, and the sight of them swaying in the breeze is breathtakingly beautiful. The Diamond Trail, which runs along the ridge of the Kongo-Katsuragi mountain range, including Mt. Iwawaki, is visited by many climbers. In the surrounding area, there are temples and sutra mounds that are part of the cultural assets of the Japan Heritage Site "Katsuragi Shugen," making it a place where you can experience nature and history.

    Iwawaki Forest Shikisaikan

    Located in Iwawaki Forest, a forest park at the foot of Mt. Iwawaki, Shikisaikan is a rest facility that can be enjoyed by a variety of visitors, including hikers and those strolling through Iwawaki Forest. Events such as the Forest Cafe, summer vacation free crafts, and flying squirrel watching are also held regularly. From the terrace, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Mt. Yamato Katsuragi, Mt. Nijo, and Mt. Ikoma.

    At the tourist information center located right after getting off at Kawachinagano Station, you can get various tourist brochures, buy souvenirs, and get travel advice. Why not stop by before you head out? You can also receive a tour from a tourist guide if you make a reservation in advance. Bicycle rentals are also available.

    Senshoji Temple

    A celadon phoenix-eared vase with the inscription "Mansei" will be on special display. It is believed to have been fired at the Longquan kiln in Zhejiang Province during the Southern Song dynasty and imported, and the "Kasen Utaawase" (Poetry Contest), a record of thirty works selected by Fujiwara no Kinto, is also on display.
