Miraiza Osaka Castle
Miraiza Osaka Castle was originally constructed as the former headquarters of the 4th Division of the Imperial Japanese Army and was later used as the Osaka Prefectural Police Headquarters after World War II. Its exterior was designed to resemble a medieval European castle, creating an elegant and refined atmosphere. The building was later utilized as the Osaka Municipal Museum before closing in 2001. In 2017, it reopened as Miraiza Osaka Castle under the concept “Spend a wonderful time with Osaka Castle.” The bright, sun-like logo is formed by aligning the letter M, symbolizing a hopeful and vibrant future for Osaka Castle. The facility consists of one basement level and three above-ground floors, housing restaurants, cafés, and souvenir shops. The basement floor features experience areas where visitors can dress as ninja or samurai and learn basic wooden sword techniques, as well as spots offering magic and illusion performances. A rooftop restaurant where guests can dine while enjoying views of Osaka Castle is also highly popular.
