The largest summer festival event in the Kansai region!!
Basic information
Expo'70 Commemorative Park Park will host the "Expo Summer Festival 2026" for a total of 27 days, mainly on weekends, from Friday, July 24th to Wednesday, September 23rd (national holiday).
This year marks the fourth time this event has been held, and it is themed "Summer of the Reiwa Era, Summer of the Showa Era," and will be fantastically decorated with lights and illuminations.
This is Kansai's largest summer festival, held at Expo'70 Commemorative Park, where you can enjoy a variety of attractions.
"Expo Summer Festival 2026" will feature "Illuminight Expo," which will create a fantastical world centered around the Tower of the Sun, and "Expo Night Market with Beer Garden," an event where you can enjoy a variety of stage content every day, including a food area with street food, izakaya-style menus for beer lovers, sweets, and more, as well as a festival corner for families to enjoy, Bon Odori dance, DJs, and music clubs from nearby universities.
In addition, as a first-time initiative this year, the Dream Pond, which hosted nighttime shows at the 1970 World Expo, will also be illuminated in blue.
On the east side of the illuminated Dream Pond, a "Fireworks Plaza" will be set up where you can enjoy handheld fireworks, creating a summer night that can be enjoyed by all generations.
Also, on September 13th (Sunday), the "Mangeki Summer Festival," which was held last year to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Kamigata Manzai Association, will be held again this year at the festival square.
Enjoy a unique summer night at Expo'70 Commemorative Park, under the Tower of the Sun that stands out against the night sky.
