• Thanks Lanterns • Japanese Garden "Moon Viewing Lights"

A tour of the autumn night lights at Daisen Park
Basic information
From Saturday, September 19th to Tuesday, September 22nd, 2026, three events will be held at Daisen Park in Sakai City to add color to the autumn nights.
The "Osaka Sakai Balloon" offers nighttime views of Sakai's nightscape and the World Heritage site "Mozu Kofun Group" from approximately 100 meters above ground. The "Daisen Park Thanks Lantern 2026" event features lanterns expressing gratitude illuminating the night sky, and the "Moon Viewing Lanterns" event is a special autumn nighttime opening where visitors can stroll through a Japanese garden bathed in light and moonlight.
You can enjoy fantastical scenery from both the sky and the earth.
These four special autumn days offer a chance to enjoy a different side of Daisen Park than during the daytime.
Spend a memorable evening with your family, friends, or loved ones.
① Osaka Sakai Balloon Night Operation

*Please note that service may be suspended due to weather conditions, wind conditions, etc.
② Daisen Park Thanks Lantern 2026
At Daisen Park, where the Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated, lanterns will be launched into the night sky, carrying messages of gratitude and wishes for loved ones.
The venue will feature food trucks, festival stalls, workshops, performances, bubble-blowing experiences, and more, making it a fun place for the whole family from noon until night.
*A paid ticket is required to launch the lanterns.
