A town with ancient tombs that can be enjoyed with all five senses

Furumuroyama Tomb
This is a greedy course that allows you to experience both the ancient tombs of Furuichi and its diverse culture. You can stroll around ancient tombs such as the Emperor Ojin Tomb, and experience grape picking and a winery in Habikino, which has a long history of grape cultivation. Autumn is the recommended season, when the leaves and cosmos bloom and new wines are available.

    Kawachi Konda Haniwa Village Okuraya

    Here you can experience making haniwa! You can also buy souvenirs related to ancient tombs. You can also fill your stomach with haniwa bento boxes shaped like haniwa and ancient tombs.

  3. Emperor Ojin's Tomb

    The Emperor Ojin Tomb is the second longest burial mound in Japan and is a representative burial mound in the Furuichi area. As you walk along the path around the outer bank of the outer moat, the burial mound is decorated with cherry blossoms in the spring and cosmos in the fall.

  4. Furumuroyama Tomb (a climbable tomb)

    Furumuroyama Kofun is a 150m long keyhole-shaped tumulus that can be climbed to the top. The view is excellent, and it is clear that the tumulus was built to be easily visible from the surrounding area.

  5. Nakahime no Mikoto Tomb

    It is a keyhole-shaped tumulus with a neat keyhole-shaped mound, and is the second largest in the Furuichi area after the Emperor Ojin Tomb.

  6. Nabezuka Tomb (a climbable tomb)

    The small hill just in front of the ticket gate at Haji-no-Sato Station is Nabezuka Kofun. It is a secondary tomb of Nakahime no Mikoto Kofun and you can climb to the top.

  7. Corocoro Fureai Park (grape picking)

    Grapes may seem unexpected in Osaka, but with a suitable climate, Habikino has been actively cultivating them since the Meiji era. You can experience this tradition here. Why not enjoy grape picking in the summer and then sip some Osaka wine?

  8. Kawachi Wine

    Kawachi Wine has continued to brew this culture along with the grapes. You can also participate in a winery tour (reservations required) that includes tastings. Their plum wine "Golden Party" was also served at the G20 Osaka Summit.
