Sennan Marble Beach
This white-marbled beach was the first-ever officially certified “Lovers Sanctuary” by Osaka prefecture. The view of the sunset alongside the planes taking off and landing from the Kansai International Airport on the opposing coast is so picturesque that it has been included in the “100 Best Sunsets of Japan” along with the nearby Tarui Southern Beach, the Sennan Marble Beach.
A rare beach that is blanketed in white marble. The contrast between the blue sea with the soaring blue skies of summer is superb, and was certified for the first time as a “Lovers Sanctuary” by Osaka prefecture in 2006. The white beach is installed with a large and red heart-shaped monument inscribed with “Sennan Marble Beach” and “always with you” in white, making it a popular spot for photos. In addition, this beach along with the nearby Tarui Southern Beach are included in the “100 Best Sunsets of Japan” for their scenic sunsets. In 2020, an area stretching about 2 km north and south near these two beaches called the “SENNAN LONG PARK” opened. This is the largest recreational facility in the Kansai region and garnered much popularity. Many events are held and visitors can enjoy various activities such as marche fairs and glamping.
