MIRAIZA OSAKA-JO
Situated in front of the Castle Tower, the facility offers comfortable dining and shopping for visitors.
Built in 1931 at the same time as the Osaka Castle Tower, this building originally was in service as the Headquarters of the No.4 Division of the former Imperial Japanese Army. Onwards, it had been known as the Osaka City Museum. After 16 years since its closing, it was renovated and transformed to a complex facility with shops, cafes, and restaurants. Situated in a great location right in front of the Castle Tower, the facility offers comfortable dining and shopping for visitors. At the "Blue Birds Roof Top Terrace" on its rooftop, visitors can enjoy an up-close view of the Castle Tower along with BBQ and Tapas dishes (Scheduled to be closed during winter from December to February). In addition, the "Kaiyodo Figure Museum Miraiza Osaka-Jo" opened on the basement floor. Based on the concept of "Showcasing Japanese pop culture through toy figures," this museum has a permanent exhibition of over 3,000 toy figures of various sizes (from hand-held to actual human-sized) and genres.
