The shrine grounds occupy roughly 6,600 square meters. The exact date of the shrine's establishment is unknown, but as its name appears in ancient historical records, it can be dated to at least their era.Legend has it that, long ago, when all of the crops in the area were on the verge of withering and dying, the people joined together before the gods to chant the Great Perfection of Wisdom Sutra (a Higashiosaka City important cultural property). On the 14th day, a pure spring behind the shrine sprung forth with water and the people were saved. Many people come from all around for to pray at the shrine for wisdom, health, and easy childbirth.
