Visit three shrines in Higashi-Osaka
Thinking about faithThere are three shrines at the foot of Mount Ikoma. Hiraoka Shrine, where people pray for good luck in the new year through laughter, Hyotanyama Inari Shrine, where people can watch passersby and read the gods' will through "tsujiuranai," and Ishikiri Tsurugiya Shrine, affectionately known as "Ishikiri-san" and the "God of Dembo."
Ishikiri-san doesn't have any festivals related to fortune telling, but for some reason, fortune telling shops line the approach to the shrine. Why did the foot of Mt. Ikoma become a town of faith? Let's take a walk around the town and unravel the mystery. -
