Baisendou/Millwood and Rock Rice

Made using traditional methods, this richly flavored, natural confectionery is a famous Naniwa confectionery: "Umesendo's Millet Rice Crackers."
"Okoshi," made from millet seeds hardened in candy, is a specialty of Osaka that is said to have originated as a confectionery presented to Sugawara no Michizane, who stopped by Naniwa in the early Heian period. Baisendo is a long-established store that dates back to the early Edo period, and is known for its rich, natural flavors made with traditional ingredients and methods. The standard millet okoshi and rock okoshi with sesame and ginger are available in 10 pieces each for 600 yen (excluding tax).
