Roadside Station Okukawachi Kuromaro no Sato (nature walk)

Enjoy a day in the lush greenery of Okukawachi
This roadside station showcases the charms of Kawachinagano. Within the area, you'll find a farmer's market where you can purchase fresh, locally grown produce, a buffet restaurant serving locally grown produce, and a farm where you can experience harvesting. You can also rent bicycles to explore the natural beauty of Okukawachi. Near the roadside station, you'll find the forest satellite "Kinekan" and the "Furusato History Learning Center," where you can learn about Kawachinagano's history through hands-on activities. Here, you can try your hand at making cutlery using locally produced Osaka Kawachi wood (chopstick set: ¥600, spoon and fork: ¥1,200 per person), or crafting a magatama (comma-shaped bead) (¥300 per person), an ancient ornament believed to ward off evil and promote prosperity. Another 30-40-minute ride will take you to Takihata Dam, one of the Eight Views of New Kawachinagano. You'll be captivated by the magnificent scenery surrounded by greenery and the beautiful, sparkling lake surface.
