Hananoi Bridge

The sixth bridge built over the Edobori River. The name of the bridge comes from the nearby famous spring, Konohanoi.
This was the sixth bridge built over the Edobori River in 1920. The bridge's name comes from the nearby famous spring, Konohanoi, which Emperor Meiji used as irrigation water when he visited Osaka in 1868. Hananoi Bridge disappeared in 1955 when the Edobori River was filled in. A monument now stands on the grounds of Hananoi Junior High School, next to the well that gave the bridge its name.
