Katsuoji Temple: The Temple of Luck

Known as the "Temple of Luck" and the "Temple of the Victory Daruma," this is one of the most historic temples in the Kansai region, and is filled with many worshippers from all over the world who come to pray for good fortune.
Since 1,300 years ago, it has been worshipped as a "temple of winning luck," and in modern times it is known as a "temple for winning in all aspects of life," including exams, protection from misfortune, illness, sports, business, elections, and the performing arts. The "Daruma fortune-telling slips" placed throughout the temple grounds and the numerous "winning Daruma" votive dolls are a sight unique to Katsuoji Temple.
