Konkumaji plum grove

This famous plum blossom spot is located in the Kinyuji area in the mountainous area of Sennan City. Along with the neighboring Shindatsu Shrine, it has been selected as one of the "100 Best Green Spots in Osaka." You can get a panoramic view of the plum grove from the top of a small hill.

It has long been known as a famous spot for plum blossoms in Senshu, and many visitors come to see them during the flowering season. Its history dates back to the early Edo period (1647), when the head priest of the neighboring Shindatsu Shrine, Mr. Yano, received a prophecy that "if plum trees are planted in this area, the shrine's territory will prosper even more." The Yano clan and local people began cultivating plums, mainly white plums. The Kinkuji plums are thick-fleshed, have small seeds, and are of high quality.
