Kurashi Museum (Ganko Hirono-go Yashiki)
This museum is situated in the Ganko Hirono-go Yashiki, a Japanese restaurant in Osaka’s Hirano-ku. You’ll find many articles exhibited here that evoke the culture of the Kawachi region.
Once the prosperous residence of an Edo-period headman’s family, this structure was fully refurbished and is now under management as Ganko Hirono-go Yashiki, a Japanese restaurant. On the premises visitors will find the Kurashi Museum (“kurashi” in this case means "everyday life.") The museum exhibits a variety of everyday items that evoke the culture of the Kawachi region, including traditional kimono, pottery, and hanging scrolls.
