Maishima Shin-Yuhigaoka

Enjoy the magnificent sunset on the lush artificial island of Maishima. At night, the city lights sparkle in the distance, making this a romantic date spot.
Maishima Shin-Yuhigaoka is a 25m-high artificial hill with an observation plaza at the top where you can enjoy the sea breeze and greenery. From here, you can get a panoramic view of Awaji Island, Kobe Port, and more, and at night, the lights of the city on the opposite shore sparkle in the distance, creating a romantic atmosphere. It is also known for its beautiful sunsets, and there are "Winter Solstice Road" and "Summer Solstice Road" that show the paths along which the sun sets for each season, such as the winter solstice (around December 22nd) and the summer solstice (around June 22nd). There are also relaxing walking routes that take in the Four Seasons Valley with its flowing river, cherry blossom viewing plaza, and gazebo.
