Midori Bridge

This was one of the bridges that spanned the Sengen River that flowed through Higashi-Osaka City. Today, only a stone monument and the place name remain.
This bridge spans the Sengengawa River, an irrigation channel that connected Koyakaido in the west with Nakatakano Kaido, which is now the border between Higashi-Osaka and Osaka City. Until reclamation work began in 1967, the Sengengawa River, approximately 1,800 meters long, flowed through the surrounding area, and was bustling with people traveling in small boats from Higashinari to the city. There are over 20 bridges spanning the Sengengawa River, one of which is Midoribashi Bridge. The Sengengawa River has now been reborn as Ryokuin Road, and Midoribashi Bridge retains its original name as the name of the intersection on the south side, with a monument erected there.
