Nishiki Bridge

This pedestrian-only bridge is located on the south side of the Asahi Festival Hall. On top of the bridge, you can see tiled prints of Nishikie art, which remind you of the history of Nakanoshima.
This pedestrian-only bridge is located on the south side of Asahi Festival Hall. It is 55.1m long and 10.6m wide. It was originally a movable weir built over the Tosabori River in 1931, with a water purification gate underneath. When the bridge surface was renovated in 1985, it was renamed Nishiki Bridge. On top of the sturdy concrete arch bridge, there are tile-fired prints depicting bridges from the late Edo period to the early Meiji period, allowing visitors to recall the history of Nakanoshima.
