Located on the banks of the Okawa River (formerly the Yodo River) that flows through Osaka, the city of water, is the OAP Osaka Amenity Park, a complex consisting of the OAP Tower & Plaza, the Imperial Hotel Osaka, a gallery, apartments, and a park. The 39-story OAP Tower is primarily an office building, but the basement and first and second floors are home to a variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese restaurants, and the adjacent Imperial Hotel is home to a wide selection of famous brand shops, making it a great place to enjoy dining and shopping. The area is also full of attractions, including the leisurely flowing Okawa River, the beautiful cherry blossom-lined Kema Sakuranomiya Park, the Japan Mint Bureau and Senpukukan, which exude history from the Meiji era, making it a recommended place for a leisurely stroll. Many people visit in the spring for the Japan Mint Bureau's "Cherry Blossom Passage," and in the summer for the "Tenjin Festival."
