Okuyama Ameyama Natural Park

The park is filled with natural trees such as red pine and cypress, making it ideal for forest bathing. The cherry blossoms in spring are also beautiful, and the park is one of the "100 Best Green Spots in Osaka."

Take the Nankai Bus from Kumatori Station in southern Osaka Prefecture to the "Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences" stop and walk for approximately 30 minutes. This expansive park stretches upstream from Eiraku Dam, the water source for Kumatori Town in Sennan County. Completed in July 1984, the 130-hectare park is home to a lush natural forest of red pine and cypress, making it the perfect spot for forest bathing. A moderate hiking trail stretches approximately 2 km around Eiraku Dam, where approximately 1,000 Somei-Yoshino cherry trees bloom beautifully in spring. Eiraku Dam and the Cherry Blossom Trail within Okuyama Ameyama Natural Park has been selected as one of the "100 Best Green Areas of Osaka" and is a popular resting spot for many local residents. On clear days, the observation deck offers views of the Izumi Katsuragi mountain range and Kansai International Airport. It is often used as an outdoor classroom for elementary schools, echoing with the lively voices of children.
