Osaka Garden of Floral Culture (Fululu Garden)

Osaka Prefectural Flower Garden, with an area three times as large as Hanshin Koshien Stadium, is filled with blossoming flowers in each season. It has a large greenhouse and an extensive collection of books about flowers, plants and trees, and holds gardening classes.

Basic information

Take a train to Kawachinagano Station on the Kinki Nippon Railway Nagano line, walk along Route 170 turning south at the "Bunka-en-guchi" intersection, and after about 500 m, you will reach the Osaka Prefectural Flower Garden (nicknamed "Fululu Garden"), which is surrounded by idyllic scenery. With an area three times as large as Hanshin Koshien Stadium, the Garden has trails for visitors, as well as elaborate decorative flowerbeds in front of the entrance gate and rose, peony, plum and hydrangea gardens, enabling visitors to enjoy the spectacle of fully-blooming flowers in each season. In the large pyramidal greenhouse, which was designed to resemble a flower bud, about 5,300 plants of about 480 species are grown, including Western varieties of orchids, tropical flowers and rare flower species around the world. The garden also has flower workshops, which offer a variety of gardening classes and pressed flower classes, and a flower library, featuring a collection of about 5,000 picture books, reference books and magazines on plants. In addition, various events are held every season.
