Osaka Prefectural Central Library

Osaka Prefectural Central Library, which boasts the largest collection of books in Osaka, opened in Higashiosaka City in 1996. The library offers a wide range of books and materials, from general books to academic publications, as well as an internet corner and AV room. The Children's Resource Room, which houses children's books, magazines, and picture-story shows, also hosts picture book readings and craft and origami classes. The International Children's Literature Center has also moved from Expo Park to the library, further expanding the selection of materials for children. The In-Person Reading Room also offers services such as in-person readings and the use of voice-to-speech software for the visually impaired. Other facilities include a multipurpose hall for seminars, concerts, and other events, as well as a cafe and rooftop garden for relaxation.
