To mark the 100th anniversary of the prefectural government, the Osaka prefectural government established Fumin no Mori forest park amongst the natural splendor of Kongo-Ikoma-Kisen Quasi-National Park.
With a variety of hiking courses, year-round flowers and greenery, stargazing opportunities, and trendy rock climbing facilities, visitors are spoiled for choice when it comes to outdoor activities in Fumin no Mori.
This wonderful forest could be the best kept secret in Osaka City.

- Kurondo Park: 50 minutes on foot from Kisaichi Station on the Keihan Katano Line, or 75 minutes on foot from Kawachi Iwafune Station on the JR Gakkentoshi Line.
[Hoshida Park] 40 minutes on foot from Kisaichi Station on the Keihan Katano Line, 70 minutes on foot from Hoshida Station on the JR Gakkentoshi Line.
[Muroike Park] 60 minutes walk from Shijonawate Station on the JR Gakkentoshi Line.
[Kusaka Park] Approximately 60 minutes walk from Ishikiri Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line.
[Nukata Garden] Approximately an 80-minute walk from Nukata Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line. From Ikoma Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line, take the Kintetsu Ikoma Cable from Torii-mae Station to Ikoma-sanjo Station, then approximately a 60-minute walk. Approximately an 80-minute walk from Ishikiri Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line.
[Narukawa Park] Approximately 60 minutes walk from Hyōtanyama Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line.
[Mizunomi Garden] Approximately 70 minutes walk from Hattorigawa Station on the Kintetsu Shigi Line.
[Chihaya Garden] Get off at Kawachinagano Station on the Nankai Koya Line or Kawachinagano Station on the Kintetsu Nagano Line.
Take the Nankai Bus bound for "Mt. Kongo Ropeway" and get off at the last stop.
It's about a 70-minute walk from the ropeway along the hiking trail.
[Horigo Garden] From JR Hanwa Line "Izumi-Sunagawa" Station, take the Sennan City Community Bus Yamamawari Line (bound for Tsuzurahata) and get off at Dojihata
