Pichi Pichi Beach (Hakotsukuri Beach)

This artificial beach offers a spectacular view of the blue sea and white sand. There will be heated battles on the beach volleyball courts again this year.
Located in southern Osaka Prefecture, Hakotsukuri Beach is about a 15-minute walk from Hakotsukuri Station on the Nankai Main Line. Affectionately known as "Pichi Pichi Beach," Hakotsukuri Beach is an artificial swimming beach with beautiful blue waters and white sand. On clear days, you can see Awaji Island, Kansai International Airport, and the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. The beach is about 700 meters long and 80 meters deep, and is equipped with a barbecue area, beach volleyball courts, beach huts, and shower facilities, making it a popular destination for families and groups every year. In early August, the All Japan Beach Volleyball Junior Men's Championship, a national tournament for high school boys' beach volleyball, is held here, with high school boys from all over the country competing in heated battles.
