Shikinagayoshi Shrine

The shrine is listed in the Engishiki and is said to have been enshrined 1,200 years ago, around the beginning of the Heian period (794).

This shrine is listed in the Engishiki (Engishiki) and Nihon Shoki (Chronicles of Japan), the oldest written texts in Japan, and is said to have been enshrined 1,200 years ago, around the beginning of the Heian period (794). The enshrined deities are Nagaesotsuhiko-no-Mikoto and Kotoshironushi-no-Mikoto. The Autumn Festival, held every year on the second weekend of October, features lively performances such as futon taiko drums, a float parade, and kagura dances.
