The Symphony Hall

This hall is exclusively for classical concerts and has a seating capacity of 1,704, in an "arena theater" format where all seating surrounds the stage.
Built in 1982 as a commemorative project for the 30th anniversary of the founding of Asahi Broadcasting Corporation, this hall was Japan's first hall dedicated to classical concerts. It boasts a reverberation time of 2 seconds (when fully occupied), considered the best for classical music. The hall is arranged in an "arena theater" format, with all seating surrounding the stage. There are seats where you can see the conductor's movements and seats where you can closely observe the pianist's hands, allowing you to enjoy the music. The hall has 1,704 seats. The pipe organ is made by the Swiss company Kuhn (3-keyboard, 54 stops, 3,732 pipes).
