Tanekawa Shrine

In spring, about 100 cherry trees bloom here, attracting many families and visitors.
In the spring of 1545 (Tenbun 14), a smallpox epidemic broke out in the area and the disease did not subside easily, but the protective talismans blessed by this shrine were effective, and the shrine attracted the reverence of the common people. However, during the turmoil of the Tensho era (approximately 400 years ago), the shrine building was burned down. After that, various disputes arose within Mitaninosho, but by combining the gods enshrined within the manor, the manor came together and the disputes subsided. A shrine building was built on the current site and made the main shrine of the manor, which is the origin of the current Tanekawa Shrine. In the spring, approximately 100 cherry trees bloom here, making it a popular destination for families and other visitors.
