Tempozan Park

This park is home to Mount Tempo, famous as the lowest mountain in Japan. It has been developed as a beautiful park with cherry blossoms and pine trees, making it a hidden spot.
Tempozan is famous for being the lowest mountain in Japan, with an elevation of just 4.5m. The summit itself is buried within the park, but there is a clear sign indicating the summit of Tempozan. Right next to it is the "Meiji Emperor's Fleet Review Monument," a monument commemorating Emperor Meiji's review of the new government's warships at Tempozan in the first year of the Meiji era. Located close to Tempozan Harbor Village, it is also attracting attention as a hidden cherry blossom viewing spot.
