Tenshoji Temple (Octopus Jizo)
This is the story of the octopus and the white priest who protected the land of Kishiwada.
During the time when Matsuura Hizennokami was the castle lord, samurai from Negoro in Kishu attacked Kishiwada Castle, and just as the castle was on the verge of falling, an octopus and an incarnation of a white monk (Jizo Bodhisattva) drove them away. After that, Jizo Bodhisattva was enshrined at this temple.
