Located a 5-minute walk from the Chayamachi Exit of Hankyu Railway's Osaka Umeda Station, the Umeda Arts Theater Main Hall is a theater that stages a wide variety of performances, from musicals to classical music, opera, and ballet, with a focus on Takarazuka Revue productions. Its predecessor was the long-established Umeda Koma Theater, which opened in 1956. In 1992, it was reborn as "Theater Hiten" at its current location, and then reverted to the name "Umeda Koma Theater" again. However, in April 2005, it reopened after renovations and was renamed "Umeda Arts Theater Main Hall." The stage, with 1905 seats, is designed to ensure sufficient reverberation time and listening level for both theatrical performances and classical music performances, providing clarity of sound and allowing the audience to feel close to the performance on stage. The theater continues to stage high-quality plays and concerts that were cultivated at the Umeda Koma Theater.
