Yamamoto Noh Theatre

It is registered as a tangible cultural property and is the only theater in Osaka that utilizes its box stage.
There are various events held here that are not limited to Noh.
Celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2018, this is Osaka's oldest Noh theater. The original stage, built in 1927, was destroyed in war damage and burned down, but was rebuilt in 1950. In 2006, it was designated a "Nationally Registered Cultural Property" by the Council for Cultural Affairs. Despite being a historic building, the theater strives to promote Noh as a fascinating art form that lives on in the modern age, offering programs such as Noh performances for beginners, artistic guided Noh guides for children, beginner-friendly experience courses, and a new audience participation performance, "200 Hagoromo." Taking advantage of its proximity to the station, the theater has participated in the "Osaka Night Culture Project" from its early days, and has become a new tourist spot where you can enjoy the culture of Osaka's nightlife with events such as "Kamigata Traditional Performing Arts Night for Beginners" and "Special Noh."
