Nishinakajima-Minamikata
Nishinakajima-Minamigata is the name of a station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line, located in Yodogawa Ward. The area around the station features many hotels, cafes, and restaurants, as well as attractions such as Yodogawa Riverside Park and the Osaka City Waterworks Memorial Museum. With access to JR lines, private railways, subways, and nearby Shin-Osaka Station, the area has developed as a major transportation hub with many offices and residences. In ancient times, the area was part of the sea, but sediment carried by rivers gradually formed land. During the Edo period, farmers constructed the Nakajima drainage canal to protect fertile farmland from flooding.
