Expo'70 Commemorative Park
Cosmos and Kochia Festival 2026

You can admire the fluffy, cuddly figures lined up in rows on the hillside!

Basic information

This year too, the flower hill will be adorned with autumn wildflowers.
At the "Flower Hill" in the Natural Culture Park, from early to late October each year, popular varieties such as Sensation Mix and flowers that stand out against the autumn sky are in bloom.
Approximately 150,000 colorful cosmos flowers, including the pure white Sensation White and vibrant yellow cosmos, bloom across the entire hillside.
Along with the peak blooming season for cosmos flowers, the approximately 3,600 kochia plants, which turn a vibrant red in autumn, are also a must-see!
Enjoy the sight of these fluffy, cuddly creatures lined up on the hillside.
Furthermore, the northern slope of the hill is adorned with a variety of colorful autumn wildflowers, including the breathtaking sight of Muhlenbergia with its fantastical pink plumes.
Enjoy the dazzling flower-covered hills.

During the Cosmos & Kochia Festival, numerous related events will be held where you can enjoy cosmos and kochia!
The popular photogenic photo spots will be back again this year, and the food and drink offerings will also be enhanced.
