Let's all go and have fun at the 53rd Sakai Festival!
The approximately 1km stretch from Sakaihigashi Station to Sakai Station, as well as parts of the Uchikawa moat and Daido-suji, will be transformed into a vibrant festival scene!

Dates: October 17th (Sat) and 18th (Sun), 2026
Locations: Sakai City, Oshoji-suji, Mina Sakai (Citizens' Exchange Plaza), Daido-suji, Sakai Ebisujima DOCK, Nansoji Temple, Sakai Rishonomori, and others.

The Sakai Festival, known as one of Sakai's three major festivals, will be held for the 53rd time this year under the theme of "Sakai's Pride: Transcending Time and Generations, and Connecting to the Future!"
This festival offers a chance to fully enjoy Sakai's traditional culture and charm, featuring demonstrations by musketeers, a competition of carrying futon taiko drums, the Sakai Grand Tea Ceremony (Sakai's hometown), energetic stage performances, a large exhibition of "working vehicles" such as police cars and fire trucks, South Osaka gourmet food, and participatory events.

We'll also be holding a stamp rally raffle where you can participate by collecting stamps at various spots throughout the venue! Please join us!

Additionally, events related to the new anime "Kaiju Decode," which is set in Sakai City, will also be held.
