Eiheiji Temple
One of the two head temples of the Soto Sect of Zen Buddhism along with Sojiji Temple, Eiheiji was established in 1244 as a zazen practice hall by Zen master
Dogen.
The vast premises of about 330,000 square meters are dotted with over 70 buildings, including the 7 that make up the Shichidogaran, important halls for the practice of Zen.

Hakujukan
An accommodation facility designed to “serve both as a traditional Japanese inn and a temple lodging” that enables you to learn about the essence of Zen through zazen and other experiences. “Zen concierges” trained at Eiheiji Temple provide support and experiences at the Zen hall.
