MIHO MUSEUM(Appreciation)

The MIHO MUSEUM is an art museum embodying the motif of paradise in Tashiro, Shigaraki Town, Shiga Prefecture.
In addition to various Japanese art pieces, the collection features art from Egypt, Western Asia, Greece, Rome, South Asia, China, and elsewhere. The collection is a culmination of the museum founder's -- Mihoko Koyama -- passion, embedded with the idea of the “world to be more beautiful, at peace, and full of joy through art.”

Sagawa Art Museum (Appreciation)

An art museum in Moriyama City, Shiga Prefecture. Exhibits works centered around the Japanese painter Ikuo Hirayama and sculptor Churyo Sato, both of whom belong among the finest artists in Japan.
The building is almost floating in the way it is built, carefully in harmony with the natural beauty, and highly valued as an architectural work of art.

Mangetsu-ji Temple (Ukimido) (Worshipping)

Ukimido is a hall built in Heian Period by Eshin Sozu, modelled on Yokawa-no-So (monk) that appears in the Tale of Genji. Katata no Rakugan (Descending Geese at Katata) is famous as one of the Eight Views of Omi.
The Kannon-do Hall on the grounds of Mangetsu-ji Temple (official appellation) enshrines the seated Sho Kannon, the Bodhisattva of Compassion.

Ogoto Onsen Biwako Hanakaido
