    Wear the happi coats of each town in the Kishiwada Danjiri Festival, try out the sounds (drums and bells) on the 4th floor of the Danjiri Hall, and take a commemorative photo on the roof of the danjiri in the carpentry experience corner! During the festival (the second weekend of September), it is held in the Kishiwada Castle Gardens.

    This is an open area with a lawn that stretches for about 1 km, centered around the confluence with the Ishikawa River, in front of Kashiwara City Hall.
    A nice day is perfect for a walk!
    You can enjoy different scenery in each season.
    It is a popular and well-used place for citizens to enjoy jogging, walking and strolling, as well as a cultural and social space where various recreational activities and events are held.
    There are also temporary toilets.

    Shibagaki Shrine

    It is said to have been built at the end of the 5th century by imperial order of the 24th Emperor Ninken on the site of Tanbishibarigamiya Palace, which Emperor Hanzei made the capital of in the first half of the 5th century. Ihara Saikaku also visited in the early Edo period and composed a poem about Shibarigamiya. Ha Shrine is also famous, and it is said that touching the teeth of the "Ha-gami," the only tooth-brushing statue in Japan, within the grounds will strengthen your teeth.

    Emperor Ankan's Tomb

    Kawachi History / culture

    Built on a hill about 8m high, it is a keyhole-shaped tumulus with a length of 122m, a diameter of 78m at the rear, and a width of 100m at the front. The center of the tumulus was used as part of Takaya Castle, and it is said that an ancient Persian glass bowl was discovered there during the Edo period.

    Emperor Seinei's Tomb

    Constructed in the first half of the 6th century, this keyhole-shaped tumulus has a length of approximately 115m, a diameter of 63m at the rear circular part, and a width of 128m at the front part, making it a highly developed keyhole-shaped tumulus. The moat surrounding the outside of the mound is double-dug in parts.

    Emperor Yuryaku's Tomb

    The Kojiki states that Emperor Yuryaku's tomb is located at "Takawashi in Tajihi, Kawachi." Currently, the Shimaizumi Maruyama Tomb, with a diameter of 75m, and the Shimaizumi Hiratsuka Tomb, with a side length of 50m, have been renovated into a keyhole-shaped structure and are designated as the "Tomb of Emperor Yuryaku, Tanbi Takawashihara no Misasagi."

    Yoshimura Family Residence

    This village headman's residence is said to have been rebuilt immediately after the Summer Siege of Osaka (1615), and is characterized by its large thatched roof. The guest rooms retain the Shoin-zukuri style of the Momoyama period and are elaborately decorated. As a representative example of a private residence from the Edo period, it has been designated an Important Cultural Property.
