Ura Namba

Cities are alive and moving. Popular areas in Osaka's Minami district, such as Americamura and Minami Minamisemba, change with the times. Since around 2010, Ura-Namba has become a popular bar-hopping spot. It stretches from Sennichimae in the north to Nansan-dori in the south, Kuromon Market in the east, and Takashimaya in the west. Ura-Namba is known for its unique establishments run by young owners, offering affordable, delicious food. Another distinctive feature is its diverse collection of standing bars. While standing bars were once the preserve of older men, they're now popular with young people and women alike, thanks to their casual and stylish atmosphere. Bar-hopping is common in Ura-Namba. A fun way to enjoy a drink is to head to the next bar, then another, and so on. With over 100 restaurants serving a wide variety of cuisines, from Japanese and Western to Chinese, the true bar-hopping experience is all about eating, drinking, and making friends with the friendly staff and customers. By the way, "Ura Namba" was named by the shop owners in the area.
