Located in Namba 5-chome, Chuo-ku, Osaka, Namba Nannan in Minami is known as the pioneer of underground shopping malls in Osaka. Following the opening of the adjacent Namba Marui, the mall has undergone its second complete renovation since 1974, changing its concept from an "underground mall" to a "station-close" mall that customers will want to stop by every day. All 69 tenant stores have been reorganized into three zones: "Sou" (fashion and miscellaneous goods), "Yorozu" (cosmetics and medicine), and "Shoku" (food and drink). A device that wafts seasonal scents has been installed in the ceiling and other areas in the center, transforming the mall into a more comfortable underground shopping mall.
